We are a well-established Land Surveying company with an immediate opening for an experienced Land Surveying Field
Crew Chief to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying at our Denver, Boulder and Longmont locations.
Minimum 3 years of Crew Chief experience, 2 of which must be in Construction Layout. The crew chief is responsible for the proper collection of field data for various types of surveys and for construction staking based upon the calculations provided, checked to the current plan set. This position will be primarily for construction layout and related construction surveying. Must be able to perform well under pressure.
Responsibilities
• Provide field layout for construction purposes
• Collect necessary field data to process ALTAs, boundary and design surveys
• Ability to use line coding systems
• Review construction plans and provide accurate calculations
• Proficient with Surveying equipment and software – Trimble preference
• Train and mentor instrument operator or rodman
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years as a Crew Chief, 2 years in Construction
• Clean driving record AND valid driver’s license
• Land Surveyors Intern (preferred)

Applicant must be responsible, highly motivated, and a detail-oriented individual interested in joining our Land Surveying department. Applicant must be able to work in a team environment as a key member of a survey crew assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way acquisition, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology.
The position has opportunity for advancement for a motivated individual willing to grow with the changing skills and technology required of a Land Surveyor. This full-time position will require the ability to work under physically challenging conditions in urban, rural, and mountainous regions in Colorado and possibly in nearby states.
Required Skills & Experience:
Very strong preference for those motivated to pursue a career in land surveying.
Survey field experience and/or education preferable, but not necessary.
Must have a High School Diploma (Minimum).
Must have good Mathematical skills.
Must have good computer skills.
Must have good communication skills.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must be dependable with a positive attitude.
Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions.
Pay: Depending on Experience
